Summary
A retelling of Legends Arceus with a twist. Focusing on the study and behaviour of Pokemon in their natural habitat. Our protagonist is young man from Galar who was to be studying under Professor Rowan. He was supposed to be studying evolutionary biology under the professor but Arceus seemed to have different ideas for Nathan.
I'm guessing the time period is roughly 1850s. But being a small frontier town Jubilife Village will have very little in terms of modern technology.

Summary
Ashe has turned down knighthood to open an inn that specialises in Duscur cuisine, partly inspired by his deep friendship with Dedue. Dedue regularly frequents the inn after completing his duties as King Dimitri's vassal, and Ashe is more than happy to host him and make him whatever he likes. The constant visits and Ashe's talents and generosity draw them closer together with every plate of food and every word shared between each other.
Dedue's body softens and Ashe's courage grows to admit his feelings for Dedue to himself and to Dedue. And much to their shared delight, Dedue confesses the same. But scars still run deep, and Dedue's self-inflicted sense of duty still looms large over them--and Ashe finds that food may not be enough to dispel it.
