THE BEST NINEROSE EVER
This is it. This is the one that consumed my entire life for two days. Don't read unless you are willing to stop existing for a while. Veeeeery smutty, very angsty, the best Nine, Rose and Jack dynamic ever. Cannot emphasise any of that enough. Amazing author, mind blowing writing. This is the one that made me listen to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol on repeat for two hours accidentally.

After a particularly harrowing adventure, Rose is left shaken by the memories it brings up. Especially when the Doctor decides that to protect her, he had to go after the aliens they'd just escaped from, on his own at all costs. What lengths will he go to, if it means keeping her safe? What will he return to find, after having left Rose alone to deal with her past in combination with his betrayal? As they fight to move forward, both of them have to confront their own desires and darkness and each other's, if they truly want to be each other's forever.
Honestly started this just as an excuse to write them having angry sex in the jumpseat but now I'm roughly nine-hundred pages in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Part One is a soft, canon-divergent romantic rewrite of Series 1 & 2 (Part Two and Three cover the rest). No Doomsday, no Torchwood, low angst. Just good communication, hurt/comfort, and the TARDIS out here makin’ dreams come true. Jack stays. Everybody lives.
Fix-its, missing scenes, and mild smut. Everyone’s soft. Everyone gets a hug. There are no misunderstandings and no drama.

Jason watches him, his expression blank and unflinching.

"We don’t need a servant," Arthur piped up immediately, chest puffing out in defiance "Hell, with how Merlin is, I’ve pretty much been without a servant for years!"
"Great!" Percival said and jerked his head "Then let’s go."

Bruce wakes with a snort and a crick in his neck.
Wincing, he picks his twinging neck up slowly, blinking grit out of his eyes. The tv is still on, flickering in the otherwise dark room.
“Is it possible… that aliens are responsible for the tragic wreck of the Titanic?” a narrator is asking.
Tim is still dead weight across his legs. Bruce can feel a damp patch on his sweatpants where he’s drooled on him.
Bruce digs his phone out of his pocket, careful not to disturb him.
4:32am.
Fuck.
Tim was due to be woken up for a concussion check over three hours ago.
“Tim,” he murmurs, rough with sleep. “Wake up, bud.” He shakes him gently.
When he doesn’t stir, he shakes him again, harder, sighing softly - Tim always is dead to the world on the rare occasions he actually sleeps. “Tim,” he repeats, louder, a normal speaking volume.
He tugs on his shoulder, rolling him towards Bruce.
There’s no resistance.

Arthur could see his father glaring down - face red and eyes narrowed as he looked at Merlin with clear distaste.
"Once this over, sorcerer...I’ll burn you."
"You’ve already tried that," Merlin’s voice answered and Arthur had to bite his fist to keep from making any noise. “You need to accept you can’t kill me… Hand me that blanket, please.”
“I’m sure there must be some method… Beheading?”
“No, we tried that.”
“Hanging?”
“I just sort of... Swung there, remember?”
There was another pause.
“I should have made you keep that dragon below the castle so I could feed you to it.”
“Kilgharrah? He won’t eat me, but if you want to torture me than making me listen to his nonsense for an hour might do it.” Merlin said and there was a soft sigh from the other end of the room. “I’m glad you agreed to help me though. Usually I have to do the grunt work of saving Arthur myself.”
“I can’t wait to kill you.”
Or
Uther finds out about Merlin’s magic, but can’t seem to kill him. Merlin is just trying to protect Arthur. They become a begrudgingly effective duo. Arthur doesn't understand why they think he isn't noticing this.
