Summary
In order to appease the Wen, Yu Ziyuan cuts off Wei Wuxian's hand - in order to keep the supervisory office out of Lotus Pier, she hands him over to the Wen as a prisoner. In a desperate attempt to save his brother, Jiang Cheng teams up with Lan Wangji to plot a rescue - but what they don't realise is that whether they succeed or fail, their worlds will never be the same again.
An eventual fix-it featuring most of the cast, a lot of hurt/comfort, and a promised happy ending!

Summary
Yoo Joonghyuk went into the prison expecting to die.
He did not expect to find someone worth living for instead.
Kim Dokja has been buried underground so long he has never know the color of the sky. He laughs too easily for someone with nothing. Knows things he shouldn't. The guards won't look at him directly. And the mark over his heart burns in the dark like something that has been waiting a very long time.
Joonghyuk tells himself it doesn't matter. That the man in the next cell is a means to an end. That whatever this is, it isn't something he needs to name.
He has never been good at lying to himself.
--------Some people are buried because the world fears what they might become. Joonghyuk doesn't care what Dokja might become. He just wants him to see the stars.

“You can’t just shove me around like that,” Kim Dokja insists. His stance is an attempt at confidence, but his stubbornly crossed arms only draw attention to the pale, shifting gaps between his shirt buttons, the nervous flex of his muscles. “We’re close, aren’t we? We can talk these things out like civilized people.”
Slowly, Yoo Joonghyuk drags his eyes back up to his face. It's like Kim Dokja is doing it on purpose.
Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja can’t decide whether to fight or face what's between them. Yet out of the two of them, Yoo Joonghyuk definitely has it worse.

Kim Dokja wasn’t about to tell people that he was only alive because he really, really wanted to see how Yoo Joonghyuk dealt with Gong Pildu for sneaking around behind his back again. It was just pathetic.
