Summary
A small bakery by the name of The Spotted Wing crops up on the border of Endol, a little town where the veil between the planes runs thin. Martin stops by for lunch, forgetting all the precautions he’d learned his entire life.
After all, what was more disarming than a bakery?
On Hiatus! I plan to come back to this at some point (and will likely rewrite the last chapter or two since those are fever haze chapters and I do not like them)

Summary
Jonah was obviously rich, the silk of his waistcoat and wool of his jacket made that clear, and if it didn’t, his demeanor was perfectly capable of doing so. He had an air around him that only those with wealth and land do. Jon had grit his teeth and returned his attention to the book in his hands. Jonah approached him, said he had information, said he would share what he knew about these supernatural things. Jon was certain there had to be some sort of catch, but Jonah had simply laughed and said, “I’ve been looking for someone to collect this sort of information, Mr. Sims.”

Summary
"In an effort to distract himself for the odd feeling of the situation, he occupied himself by looking over the papers spread out in front of him once again. He had looked them over a number of times already since Elias had first handed them to him, trying to wrap his head around the it all properly. To say that Jon had been a bit taken aback when he’d been informed that Elias had hired an assistant for him would have been an understatement."

Summary
This plan, Marius's latest and greatest scheme, his magnum opus, was more important to him than all that. He’d been planning it for months now. He’d laid out groundwork, done research, enlisted a few helpers to deepen the intricacies, and put on his most dignified monogoggle.
He was about to be the worst therapist this planet—no, this galaxy—had ever seen.
Contrary to some of the crew’s beliefs, Marius wasn’t completely ignorant of psychology. He knew the basics, had made the computer read most of an introductory textbook to him before he had gotten bored and gone to see who he could poke the most before they got annoyed.
(Raphaella beat out the Toy Soldier by a dozen or so, but only because she had started poking him in return. She had said it was for science. He still wasn’t sure whether that went against the limitations of his own personal experiment, but it was still a nice way to spend the afternoon.)
So while he maybe wasn’t a fully fledged doctor, at least not in psychology, he knew enough to be aware of what he didn’t know.
He’d always been a hands-on learner, though.
