Summary
Asriel didn't deserve this. To be back, to be nearly himself again...to be able to feel love and compassion and guilt. Except for the guilt part, he definitely deserved that feeling. But he wasn't really himself, it was only because of the souls inside him that he was able to feel all this again. That he was able to look the way he used to. That he had so much power he now didn't want, and was afraid to have.
But when he decided to break the barrier and release all the souls, a voice stopped him, and made him question everything. The human souls, the human children who died because of the fury he had caused, wanted to live. And he would right that wrong, even if it meant he had to remain in this form with them inside for a little longer. Soon, he would discover that bringing them back wasn't as simple as he thought.
Others would be roped into it, as Frisk and Asriel realized they would need help. Truths would be revealed, secrets shared, past wounds would begin to heal, and those who were thought to be lost forever would resurface. But will it be enough to bring back those who died too young? And will those most effected by the past be able to forgive and move on to the future?
