Summary
Akira Kurusu is, by all means, a smart person.
He had always topped his class despite all the rumors that he was a gruesome murderer; he was not only the leader of the infamous Phantom Thieves, but he was also one of their main strategists. He had learned shogi and chess at the same time, despite how different and strange his mentors were. He was even able to land a good university despite his record!
While he knows that he isn’t Makoto-level booksmart and not Goro-level streetsmart, he knows that he isn’t stupid. Though everyone has flaws. And that includes Akira.
He’s quite stupid when it comes to love.
“I think Goro wants to break up with me.”
Ann chokes.
(Or. Akira thinks Goro wants to break up with him. Goro is stressing over the proposal. Ann is tired of her best friends.)

Akira really had thought they’d been smooth, to be fair. Sure, there was no door, but there were no customers tonight and Sojiro had supposedly locked up and left. They had done their best to cover their tracks, Akechi buttoning up his coat all the way to the collar and Akira even putting on his turtleneck in case Morgana came back tonight. However, neither of them were prepared for coming down the stairs only to see Sojiro Sakura sitting at a bar stool, drinking a cup of coffee and pondering the meaning of the universe. Or maybe he was pondering the meaning of the moaning voices from upstairs–
“Oh, hey Sojiro,” Akira greeted, mustering every last ounce of his Joker bravado as he gave the man a smile and a wave. Oh, Lavenza, we’re really in it now.

She wore cat ears along with a black and green body suit and red swimmer’s goggles. She was presumably cosplaying Oracle if Oracle’s inner rebel wore Crocs instead of tactical gear, but Goro had grown as a person enough to keep that thought to himself.
Finally, someone who recognized talent and appreciated his commitment to Ren’s bit. “I am. Are you a fan?”
“Yes, sirree! He had the cutest interviews back in the day and he always had something interesting to say about the Phantom Thieves, not to mention he made the best memes. Your wig’s a little off, though. His hair was more on the auburn side!”

It would’ve been her dinner, except for said dinosaur- currently exploring their couch- who had sniffed out her salad and spent the next ten minutes dancing around her feet begging for pieces of kale and spinach.
“Not you too,” Claire grumbles, nudging the bowl out of his reach. “She’s a little menace and she’s already eaten half my dinner.”
“Can we back up a bit? To the part where there’s a baby dinosaur in the house when I’m pretty sure you explicitly forbid that?” Owen asks, winding his arms around her waist and dropping a kiss at the back of her neck.
