Peter Parker grew up unaware of his superhero father, admiring Iron Man from afar and unaware that one day he would too become a super-hero - an Avenger. Spanning the entirety of the MCU , this fic covers a canonical view of what it would be like if Peter was Tony's biological son dwelving heavily into the canon. After a traumatic experience at age 6, Peter Parker hasn't spoken a word. Most blame it on the fact that he witnessed his Uncle die in a horrible fire, this is only partly true. Now, almost 10 years later Peter is given the chance to finally speak, but will he take it? Or is the fear of his Aunt to much for him to take that chance?
Either way, Tony Stark can tell something's not quite right about the kind hearted May Parker.
(Don't get me wrong I love Aunt May! But I always wondered what if we put a little darkness in the character? That's where this AU was born. Peter's life as Spider-Man wasn't easy before and now with a manipulative and abusive guardian, things only get more complicated but he's still determined to listen to his uncles words: "With great power comes great responsibility)

Summary
Since the death of his aunt and uncle a year ago, Peter Parker has bounced around foster homes faster than a pinball at full speed. Why? He blames Spiderman. His constant secret keeping, lying, and sneaking out because of his alter ego has kept him from staying in a home for too long, but he refuses to give up the vigilanteism (that's a word, right?) At this point, he's given up hope on ever finding a forever home.
Tony Stark never expected to get so attached to his young new intern, Peter Parker. But when he finds out that the kid is moving foster homes too far away for him to keep up the internship, he takes matters into his own hands. He soon finds out, though, that housing Peter Parker is a lot harder than mentoring him.

Oh, Peter would play alright. But he wouldn’t guarantee that it would be nice.
Peter gets worried for Tony when he finds out that the rogues are returning to live with them. Tony, of course, is more afraid that he made a mistake letting them come back and be around his kid. But he needs to set a good example for Peter... after all, what could really go wrong?
Wielding the grudge of the century, Peter tries to learn to live with them while also protecting his father-figure-- all while accidentally wrapping every single avenger around his finger and rebuilding the broken team into a family. For once, it's all fun and games at the avengers' compound!
Or, at least, it is until a new villain comes to town, and wants to play a different kind of game...
just a little warning-- the majority of this story is fluff and hurt/ comfort, but the last few chapters will get really dark. so heads up!
also, this IS rogue avenger friendly! i love all of them and try to depict them the best i can while also acknowledging all the problematic stuff in civil war (AKA siberia)

Tony didn’t go out every night.
He had responsibilities; a company to run, technological marvels to build, blah blah blah. And most of the time he took on those responsibilities without complaint, despite what some tabloids may have say about that. He was not a wild, party-going, man-child with far too much money to spend on his every whim.
Most of the time.
It was just that some days he needed to shrug off the weight that came with heading a billion dollar company. So sue him! He was allowed to relax every now and again, and when he did... well, he really relaxed.
And so, on The Night That Changed Everything, he hadn’t been looking for anything other than a couple of glasses (or bottles) of excellent whisky, and maybe a companion or two with whom he could spend the night.
In the end, what he got was so much better.

With nowhere left to go, Peter goes to Stark Tower to inform Mr. Stark that he’s Peter’s father but is thrown out of the tower by security without seeing Tony. Peter Parker needs help. Who is this kid that showed up at the tower? Tony needs answers. What does he know about raising a kid? How the hell is he supposed to help a son he just discovered he had sort through trauma when Tony’s been stuffing his own stress and trauma down for years? Tony knows one thing for certain: he doesn’t want Peter to grow up to be like him… to stuff all of the crap he’s been through down and end up pushing everyone around him away. Well shit… that means Tony will have to lead by example.

There's always someone with a vendetta against Tony Stark, someone planting a bomb under the podium he's speaking from, someone with a knife concealed under their clothes, someone sneaking in a can of red spray paint to write MERCHANT OF DEATH on the walls-
Peter is used to that. Those kinds of things activate his spidey-sense, give him time to intervene before anything can actually happen.
This sudden unease isn't his Spidey sense, though.
It's quiet. A whisper, more than a warning.
