I put the unedited first draft on tumblr (@mintopoleli) in segments, did minimal editing (because it's entirely unplanned) and then dragged it over here.
Rocky has disappeared off the Hail Mary, Simon drinks chlorine water, and something just dented the Tulpar medical room's door.
Lots of cussing as typical of the source material. Also I just know Rocky says fuck. -

This is the rewrite! I left out a bunch of lore the first time and changed some stuff, a lot changes in 2 years.
If there’s anything any of these kids know, it’s selfishness and self reliance. When neither of those are possible they need to discover themselves beyond surviving to the next minute.
There had to be a better place for healing than space.

Summary
The screaming has started again. Tommy hates the way he relaxes at his temporary safety. It’s a newer victim. He can tell by the fiery rage packed behind it. If he closes his eyes it sounds human, not that his eyes being closed is much different from them being open. The screams climb in volume, accompanied by clattering and that click- hiss language of the Green Fucks.

It’s still getting louder, and Tommy realizes that the rest of the cacophony is coming with it. Something in his gut turns at the thought that this fighting spirit is completely new to this Hell. The cells nearest to his have been quiet for a long time, and the sounds were only getting closer to his little dead end.
