Summary
Beatrice lowered the phone, her frame still as a statue. She stayed like that for a long moment, staring at the darkened screen as the rain splattered against her boots.
"Is everything okay?" Ava asked, her voice small and fragile against the backdrop of the storm.
Beatrice seemed to snap from her distant thoughts, her head jerking slightly as if she’d been physically pulled back from a great height. She nodded, shoving her phone into her pocket with a frantic, desperate haste, as if the device itself were made of burning coal.
"Yes," Beatrice said, though the word was thin and lacked any conviction.
There was a long, suspended moment of silence as they stared at each other in the rain. The water was starting to soak through Ava’s denim, but she didn't care. She was focused on the way Beatrice looked. Fragmented, as if the call had cracked the very foundation of her poise.
"Strict parents?" Ava asked carefully.
Beatrice nodded, her gaze fixed on the grey mist of the world around them.
"Quite, yes," she admitted.

Summary
Ava comes to a halt, the players following behind their captain do so as well. “Okay, what is the lacrosse team doing on our field?”
To answer her question, Yasmine runs up to their pack frantically waving a clipboard in the air. “The school cut our team!”
“Wait what?!” they all shout in unison.
“Not enough betas or omegas signed up.”
Ava scoffs, snatching the board from her grasp to read the announcement. “What, so they just cut us?”
“They can’t do that!” Chanel argues next her side.
And her tall, beautiful friend was right. The school had no right to cut their soccer team.
Ava squares her jaw before growling, “This is not over.”

Summary
The photo underneath the headline catches Ava's attention before she can figure out what she’s looking at. It’s a landscape shot of a lighthouse sitting atop a cliff and silhouetted against a bold sunset, its beacon lit. It looks like it’s at the end of the world, surrounded by rocks and the sea.
She frowns.
The ad is for a relief lighthouse keeper. She tentatively scrolls down to look at the duties and requirements, fully expecting to find that she’s unsuited for the job.
Except she’s kind of… perfect for it?
Unmoored, a little lost, and always impulsive, she thinks fuck it and spends the next three hours fixing her resumé, digging for her certification details, and writing an overly enthusiastic cover letter.

Summary
From the road, Ava could only make out their broadest features: a woman in a white tank top, her muscled shoulders tanned from the sun, an axe dangling casually in one hand. She had already placed a log in front of her, and as Ava watched she lifted the axe above her head and swung it downwards in a single fluid motion, the taut muscles of her arms working so perfectly with the axe they might have all been one. The log split easily into two, as though she were cutting through paper, and the woman picked up the two halves to place them into a neat stack nearby.
“Ah,” Schaefer said, catching the line of her gaze, “That’s Beatrice. Your new neighbor. Don’t mind her too much, she’s a little… eccentric.”
Ava liked eccentric. She also liked women who looked like they could tear her in half without too much effort. She had a feeling she was going to like Beatrice a lot.

Summary
For six years, the world has watched A-list actress Beatrice Young and Ava Silva, the wild child of Arq-Tech, fall in and out of love. Their sweet gestures break the internet. Their sudden separations and fights break hearts everywhere. But it's all fake.
Beatrice has perfected the art of Beatrice Young, her public persona. Beatrice Young is a woman of colour who has managed to stay relevant despite the double standards she faces in Hollywood. Whenever public discourse threatens to shift on her, she calls in Ava Silva, with her charming rebellious attitude, for a staged date. Each adorable display of public affection puts Beatrice back in the public's good graces just in time for her latest role, while Ava uses Beatrice's straight-laced character to distract the board at Arq-Tech from her own public mishaps.
Beatrice doesn't have time to date, and keeps her industry friends far away from her family. She knows a real relationship with Ava would lead to nothing but trouble, but when a family emergency forces Beatrice to take Ava home to her grandparents, she has to reckon with the truth of their ruse.

Summary
At twenty-seven years old, Ava and Beatrice finally have their lives figured out. Ava has a successful career as an event planner, an apartment with her best friend, and—okay, maybe a less than stellar love life, but who doesn't have baggage? And besides, she’s doing pretty well considering the love of her life ran out on her and refused to talk to her ever again.
Beatrice works for her parents’ company, writes in her free time, and just got engaged to her best friend. Her life is going exactly the way it’s supposed to, all according to the plan her parents have been following since the day she was born. And she’s pretty sure she’s happy. As long as she ignores the part of her that regrets leaving the person she still considers her soul mate, that is.
The two of them haven’t spoken in five years, but that all changes when Beatrice appears in Ava’s office one morning with her new fiancée and a job offer that could change everything. Ava isn't exactly thrilled about planning a party to celebrate Beatrice's engagement to someone else, but pulling this off will mean big things for her career. And she can handle working with her definitely-more-than-a-friend who she can't quite seem to get over, right?

Summary
“Hey! You should get a tattoo.”
“Oh, no no. I don’t think I’d like it very much.” Beatrice says, shaking her head.
“The pain is nothing for most people, it’s just like an annoying prickly massage. I’m gentle, I promise.” Ava winks and laughs at Beatrice’s flush. The woman blushes a lot, and Ava doesn’t mind making it happen. Actually, it may be her new favorite thing.
Or
Beatrice is a florist with a past she’s tried desperately to run away from and Ava is (simp)ly a tattoo artist just trying to find someone to spend forever with. They meet when Ava's friends Shannon and Mary are in the midst of planning their wedding and need Ava to step in and help.

Summary
Ava blinked at her, and then offered a half smile, lifting her hands up. They were stained with blood too, flecking all the way down to her wrists, and then travelling to the sleeves.
“Hey, um, I’m really really sorry about this, but I have no idea what’s going on, like seriously, zero memories of anything, and I just woke up here, and I might be going insane, but something tells me that this is where I’m supposed to be.”
OR
Two months post Season Two, Ava returns to Beatrice, but she doesn't have any of her memories.
