Summary

She tore through them, until nothing remained. Of the many that hunted her that night, none would ever return to the village. Their blood soaked the enchanted ground, a crimson that provided the soil with nutrients and the animals food for weeks to come.
Adrenaline began to seep from her system, the pain that began to flare a reminder of what she fled for. The wolf pulled her injured body further into the depths of the forest until she found a cave. To the sounds of the rushing water her son drew his first breath. Pale and quiet, he was blessed with his mothers silver hair, though his eyes came from his father. They were a deep shade of crimson, blinking as they beheld the darkness. The wolf licked the infant over, who did not scream or cry, blindly snuggling into her fur.
He knew not of how different they truly were, only that he loved her.
Etho had always been different from the other kids in the castle, though an encounter with a fae drives forth the realization that the differences were far greater than he knew. Forcing himself into denial comes at a cost when asked to participate in a hunt and he discovers a past he forgot and a future he never intended.

And that, in the end, was what Joel needed.
Or: A Boat Boys zombie apocalypse romance AU. A loose sequel to There Are Monsters Nearby by Uhohbestie, but readable as a standalone. The sequel where all the hermits get the happy ending they deserve.

Now, Scar's never seen a living harpy, but he's not stupid. Everyone and their mothers know they're blood-thirsty killers, mindless animals at best, demons sent from hell itself at worst. Everyone also knows that a harpy could kill you in three seconds flat. But if that's the case, why is he still alive?

There are so many different types of people in the hermitcraft server. In servers in general.
Hybrids of all types, even documented robots and aftermath of curses and magic.
There isn't bad discrimination in the world, not terribly so... But thats too optimistic saying there isnt any.However, there's rules to be followed.
Like no viruses. No illness, no mad cow disease type plague allowed without many many rules.
Or
Where Mumbo is a vampire but vampirism is considered a illness not unlike rabies and has to kinndaaa hide it.
Goes as well as you expect.

But then, why, when war with the neighboring kingdom of Èmerglais came knocking on her door, the only deterrent being her hand in marriage for the Queen's eldest son, did she feel so afraid?

Summary
Two years ago Pearl and Grian moved to the capital looking for work and a safe haven where they could be themselves. Clubs where Grian could go dancing in a dress, if he wanted to, and spaces where Pearl could speak her mind and be listened to regardless of her gender and hybrid nature. But life has a cruel humor, and the recession hit not even a week after they arrived. Struggling to survive between odd jobs and completely disillusioned, Pearl and Grian take it upon themselves to protect their city and the people it doesn't seem to care for as the vigilantes Moonfly and Sunrise, when the absolute worst thing that ever happened to Pearl comes back to haunt her 13 years later.

The setting is heavily inspired by early 1930s Berlin because that's what I know, but it is a made-up world with worldbuilding happening in the background. Still, as tagged, this fic will touch on themes of discrimination both personal and structural against queer people, women, and ethnic minorities (here mainly represented by the various hybrids). Anything but leaving her alone and attacking her country. Because if she had been left with nothing but war and memories in the sun, she wasn’t sure if she was ready to face what was next.
