Summary
When Connor dies during their investigation Hank is more than a little upset.
Then the kid rises from the goddamn dead and Hank is pissed. He feels stupid. And cheated, somehow.
Yet he finds himself softening towards the new Connor, the same way he did for the last.
Is he an idiot? Getting sentimental in his old age? He never thought an android could re-awaken his parental urges, but here they are.
And here he is, tempted to take the boy to the freaking park. Let's walk the dog, he thought, and just forget all about those pesky deviants.

Summary
He cursed himself under his breath. Probably this was just some ridiculous fancy social-programming-algorithm-whatchamacallit-thing, just a code designed to manipulate humans into giving Connor (and by extension, Cyberlife) whatever he wanted. Probably it wasn’t real at all. But fuck if Hank wasn’t falling for it anyway.

Summary
Old friends have a way of haunting you, Hank had said once. Connor wasn’t sure if it was another metaphor eluding his understanding or something that he was expected to categorize as fact.
…He gets it now.

Summary
Hank dies, killed by the dealers of a new drug: Blue Ice. Connor goes on a warpath, dedicating every waking moment to shutting them down and sending every last one of them to jail.
Only...Hank's not dead. He faked his death (with help from Fowler and Kamski) and is trying to go after the investors' side of the operation while Connor shuts down production. While Connor crumbles under the weight of his suppressed grief, Hank is none the wiser.
Until it's almost too late.

Summary
A screech in the air startles her. She jumps and looks to her right, seeing a Runner crawling it’s way toward her. Joel calls her name, pushing her behind him gently before stopping the runner with a foot to its back and shooting it in the head.
“Thanks,” she mumbles to him, a single grumbled “yeah” being his only reply.
She goes back to focusing on that backpack. She knows it.
Where does she- oh.
“Joel, I think it’s them.” Joel looks at her, confused. “The couple that ran away last year.” She finishes.
Joel keeps her gaze for a second before moving slowly around the body. He holsters his gun before he's kneeling down next to it, nudging the coat slightly to reveal the familiar Jackson logo on the strap of the bag.
Ellie looks away, spotting a note left on top of a nearby table. She goes to grab it, hearing Joel sigh deeply.
“I think you’re right.” He says solemnly.

Or, the one where Ellie finds out the truth. And Joel beats the shit out of a bloater without a gun.
