Summary
Crimson gradually filled her face as she stepped near him, her hip knocking gently against his. His arm was already lifted above his head in a casual arc when she mirrored him hesitantly, raising her arm in a shaky curve. Their shoulders touched, and she felt the warmth of his presence beside her.
His long fingers brushed against hers, clasping her trembling fingertips with a playful squeeze. Their arms finally adjusted to form a loose heart shape over their heads, and he beamed brightly at the camera.
“True Love Recipe!”
She flushed deeper when he shifted closer to her, the pose wobbling from her side.
“Watch your favourite hero couple live tonight!”
She didn’t remember agreeing to this part of the contract.

The words snagged on something in his throat.
They felt strange once they left his mouth simply because he didn’t really mean them, because life always offered him people that were temporary, nothing but bitter memories.
He could know her better as a friend, before he asked for more. Know what she liked to eat, what her hobbies were and if she had someone like he had Nayuta, a sibling to care for. He wanted something lasting this time, something that didn’t crack and crumble before him in the end.
Denji’s heart was a small and tender thing. It ached and ached and ached, like a bruise that was pressed too many times.

He blew at the steam curling at the top of the teacup, his fingertips carefully holding the porcelain rim as he lifted it to his lips. He merely arched a fine brow, unfazed. “Hah?”
“Y’know,” she had her chin propped up by one hand, knuckles digging into her soft cheek as her eyes trailed down his chest, over his stomach and continued going lower and lower—
“Since you’re so short and all.”
His fingers promptly dug into the cup, shattering it into pieces.
Their first meeting was like a lingering memory that had settled in the back of his mind, quiet until his chest stirred with warmth and blood rushed within his veins, pushing against his skin, his fingertips— it reminded him of being human.

Summary
Dragged along on a (luxurious!) trip to Hong Kong -- courtesy of one infuriatingly rich asshole -- it certainly seems that the entire world exists only to cause Haru excessive suffering. As the scope of the sheer absurdity of Daisuke's wealth becomes more evident, Haru allows himself to fall victim to a small lapse in judgement in order to cope: one glass of wine with their ridiculous dinner leads to another, and another...and some very interesting discoveries about the Kambe heir. Could it be...Daisuke's actually a lightweight?!
