Summary
So then it’s quietly arranging some time with his doctor, getting tests done, going over his PT regime, looking at his pain management in the meantime. The new meds help, for a while, but they only take the edge off. Before, they made it so he wasn’t in pain. Now, they only lessen it.
He rests more. Goes back to the doctors, back to the hospital, back for more tests. Makes up reasons to be busy and then stays home when his siblings and friends ask him on days out, and does his best to ignore the confused and then concerned looks his partner keeps shooting him when he thinks Dick isn’t paying attention.
But, as much as he wishes he wouldn’t, Wally is paying attention, too. And Dick really should’ve known better than to try to hide something like this from him.
Dick’s right knee has always given him a little trouble. Now, it’s giving him a little more.
He’s not really sure how to feel about it when his doctor suggests he should consider getting a cane.

Given everything, it was actually surprising no-one had foreseen it or something like it.

As it were, the day Tim surprised Kon with a newly-purchased apartment and a request to move in with him and, immediately upon saying yes, Kon developed a fever, well.
It was all a bit of a clusterfuck.

“You’re bleeding”, Will whispers, and then, as if the realization strikes just now as he says it out loud, his voice increases in volume, but shakes harder all the more, “Mike, there’s— there’s blood pouring from your mouth.”
Mike would have been perfectly content with never exploring the depth of his repressed feelings, if it wasn't for the deadly flowers blooming in his lungs.

Mike is burning up, inside and out.
Externally, there’s a bubbling burn wound carved across his shoulder— but, to be honest, a simple injury is the least of his worries. He’s more concerned with the aggravating, endlessly-perplexing internal dilemma that’s been plaguing his mind for God knows how long; why is he completely incapable of acting normal around Will?
Every time he sees Will— or even dares to look him in the eye— Mike feels this sort of fire burning deep in his chest, hot and all-consuming and completely inexplicable. And, no matter how hard he tries, Mike just can’t figure it out;

There's a healing bullet wound on Peter's right thigh, one that makes him put more focus than he'd like into not limping despite the ache that comes with every step. One of the sweatshirts he snagged from Mr. Stark back when he was fifteen is pulled over his shoulders, hair visibly disheveled where it peeks out from the hood covering his head, hands shoved deep into his pockets as he waits in line. Realistically, his budget is too tight to fit a five dollar coffee from a corner café in Manhattan, but after the week he's had, he thinks he might not survive without getting pumped full of caffeine, so he ignores the part of him that says to tuck his wallet away and leave, instead stepping forward, fighting a wince when his injured leg is shifted and forced to hold his weight, and looking up when it's his turn to order.
On the other side of the counter, blue eyes and blond curls greet him, curious as they take him in, with a name tag pinned to the front of his apron that says Harley. There's also something instantly intriguing about him that Peter can't quite place.

Kon took a step back, prepared to make his grand escape, when he backed up right into a solid figure behind him. He turned quickly, shrinking down with an audible intake of breath, standing below the towering figure of none other than Superman himself. He wore a peculiar look on his face, eyebrows slightly furrowed, lip pulled back into what could have been mistaken as a smile, but only seemed full of forced politeness.
And then Kon heard the strange rumbling sound coming right from the center of Superman’s throat. Kon shrunk back, but this time, put himself right behind Superman and out of sight of the press.

Superman takes him in to the home he shares with his mate, Bruce and Kon struggles to adjust while getting to know the family and their children. Kon seems to cause nothing but destruction and wonders if he'll ever truly fit in or if he'll be forced to go back to the lab he was created in. Meanwhile Bruce is caring but skeptical and Dick wants to kidnap him immediately. Kon's adorable and powerful and he doesn't know what anything is.

“Moro reflex.” Was all Bruce said as he continued watching the boys spar.
“What?”
“Moro reflex,” He repeated. “The startle reflex newborns have when they fall or get scared. They throw their arms up on instinct to clutch to their parent. It goes away after a few months. Then when they get older and start walking their instinct changes to put their arms down to catch themselves.”
“Okay?” Clark said slowly. “Now that you explain it, yeah. I remember that when Jon was a baby.”
“Superboy still has his Moro reflex.”

Summary
This series has been written as a collection of one-shots. All of these works happen in the same modern muggle AU.
The series will most likely be reorganized multiple times so that the first work is the earliest event in the series so that readers can follow the timeline if they choose but don't have to try and figure out where they lay in the timeline.
There will be certain works that are longer than a one-shot because I wanted to add more detail but I will always post the story when I have completed it so that there is no waiting for other chapters.
I will do my best to add warnings in notes of one-shots or notes in the chapters trauma happen in. If you are affected by reading these but want to read, please place a comment on the work/chapter and I will edit so you know what areas you have to skip and I will sum up what happens for you.

Summary
This used to be a loose collection of vignettes and little scenes that came to me and did not make it into the main stories. They were once set in Thor's and Loki's childhood and the future respectively, after Loki returns from in-patient treatment. At the time, it was a purely self-indulgent affair but the more I posted, the more scenes took place at the same time as the main series and the lack of chronology began to bother me, so I recently made an effort to edit it all into a coherent timeline that starts as far back as 1970.
