Mike knew he’d always been a freak, but this had been a new extreme for him. His first love had been a dead boy. A dead boy that happened to be the most beautiful corpse he’d ever seen.
The case of course had been old enough that a simple web search had been enough to produce the crime scene photos. The feeling rushing through him when his eyes landed on Will’s beautifully broken body had been indescribable.
His throat had been slit, he’d been stabbed, they had even gouged out one of his eyes. His beautiful skin had been tinted blue and splattered with blood.
Mike was infatuated with him. He'd saved the photos to his computer immediately; he had talked to them sometimes when he needed the comfort.
He found himself wanting more. He needed more.He wanted to see Will for himself.

Isaac wasn’t the only thing Gomez Addams hated in Nevermore. Isaac also wasn’t the only thing Gomez loved. Isaac wasn’t a “thing” even, he was his best friend, young and talented davinci, coy enough to cause trouble, smart enough to never get caught.
Isaac wasn’t like other boys. Isaac was… something else. Not only his lanky frame stood out from the crowd of purple-striped students, his curly head held one of the most impressive minds Nevermore has ever seen. Only one thing was bad about Isaac, and Gomez hated it with his whole heart: he was dying. Imminently, without compromises, his heart was failing to sustain his elegant body and pump the blood all the way towards his thin fingertips. His heart was failing more and more, but at one thing it never failed him — and Isaac hated it.

Isaac stood frozen, face flushed with more than just frustration. The warmth from Gomez’s hands still lingered on his shoulders, in his hair, across his cheek where the blood had smeared. He could feel it drying now, tacky and red, but couldn’t bring himself to wipe it away. His heart ticked violently behind his ribs, a mechanical rhythm that had no business faltering like it was now.

*This is slightly AU; it's still set in Manhattan and the characters are all the same, but Patrick hasn't killed anyone, his dad is still alive, he has a whole ton of childhood trauma, and is incredibly mentally ill and in therapy at the beginning of this.
I've also updated it to modern day times; there is no specific year but it's intended to be sometime in the mid-to-late 2010s. Also, Paul knows who he is from the start and doesn't mistake him for Marcus Halberstram.
Oh yeah, and the biggest change is that he's joined Paul in that whole Yale thing. He just doesn't know it yet...
