Pearl let out a few disbelieving gasps as she sat on his bed, she looked like a statue. Grian tried to keep his breaths steady but he failed with each attempt. He couldn’t fathom what he was told as they ate.
He was to be wedded soon. He was to be wedded off to Scar of all people.
“This is nothing less than cruel to you.” Pearl’s eyes were full of unshed tears, he reckons that it’s from both sadness and anger.
“We both know that nothing can come from this marriage, they're just sending you off to go deal with that monster for them.” He knew what she was talking about. Grian was just as confused as his sister when it came to him being chosen. There was one major flaw in this marriage that just couldn’t be overlooked.
(Basically I made a desert duo arranged marriage AU, updates every week on sundays! or at least that's the goal)

Grian is a normal pesky bird and lives in the great Esempe. Scar is also a normal citizen who’s just trying to get through the day. Yeah- no. Grian is one of the strongest villains and Scar is a top ranked hero and they just had to fall in love with each other behind the masks.
After an incident at the Barge a new villain appears, his name is Cuteguy kind of the opposite of Hotguy if you think about it. But he has a love power, if someone loves him their power wont work on him and he’s able to make anyone do what he wants.
Step to the left, sure thing!
Jump off a cliff? Okay!Yeah you get it, while Scar is able to aim perfectly and he’s buff.
Wait, what's that?
Is that a superhero fic?
And Grian centered? But also Scar + others pov's?
Yes it actually is.or Scar and Grian have great powers and use them for what they think are right.

She’s goading him, taunting, pulling him towards something promising, indiscernible to himself. She’s similar to Grian in that way. Her smile is sharp when she speaks. “Go big or go home, am I right?”
And Scar can tell she says it on purpose, he can see the smugness in the way her lips tilt up, he can see the satisfaction in her eyes. She knows she had him trapped before she even spoke.
He decides, quite easily, that if he is willing to do this for Grian, then he is also willing to do this for Pearl.
Or, Scar finds himself wrapped up in centuries-old customs that are much larger than himself. No one is surprised when he stumbles into love.
