Lawyers who had been involved in the case weren't permitted to join in any punishments meted out, since it led to a potential conflict of interest, but most people who worked in the courthouse had reciprocal information sharing networks set up for just such occasions as this, and Christopher's colleague had alerted him to the opportunity.
This offense had been a simple case of teens stealing a car to take it for a joyride. Two betas, an alpha, and an omega, with only the alpha and omega over the age of eighteen, had been caught red handed in the stolen vehicle, and plea deals swiftly followed. The betas, assumed to be led astray by the alpha ringleader, had gotten community service hours. The alpha had taken the brunt of the blame and would be receiving a public caning on the other side of the courthouse, in the stocks where corporal punishments took place. The omega had been given a punishment designed to keep him too busy to cause trouble in the future.
Or at least, for the next nine months.
