“I just realized I’m not that hungry. Can you save it for later?”
The cook let out an irritated huff, but took the dish back anyway.
A few uneasy glances followed him.
“You? Not hungry? Yeah, right…” Nami muttered, disbelief creeping into her voice.
The rubber boy only laughed, brushing it off, saying he’d already eaten plenty.
That answer seemed to ease the tension—after all, Luffy turning down meat was unheard of.
And yet… there he was, walking off toward his usual spot, leaving a full plate behind.
Something about it didn’t feel right.
After Ace's death, the smell of his burnt flesh wouldn't leave his memory.
Now, even the smell of burned meat reminds him of that moment.

Come mi immagino io si sia sviluppata la storia tra Mimmo e Simone, iniziata molto prima della puntata 7 e 8 (quindi figuriamoci 9 e 10) ma che ne tiene conto (anche se non proprio benissimo) pendetela più come un racconto a parte, un universo parallelo se volete.

Se Simone gli tirasse un cazzotto, se lo terrebbe, incasserebbe il colpo senza ricambiare perché gli manca: gli manca il rapporto che avevano, il dirsi tutto anche quando fa male, il sostegno implicito, le discussioni senza senso e quelle profonde e sconclusionate, soprattutto la notte con solo le stelle sopra di loro a guardarli e giudicarli.
Perché ora Simone fisicamente c'è ma è come se non ci fosse, con la testa da un’altra parte e gli occhi persi nel vuoto o che scrutano intorno, come se cercasse qualcosa. E Manuel ha idea di cosa o meglio chi stia cercando.Post s2 e di rimettere insieme i cocci.
