Summary
Olesya and Yáo boarded the Hail Mary expecting to die. The mission was always meant to be a one-way trip, and both made peace with that long before launch.

He could see it in his mind, the man in his bright yellow jacket, alone in the rain, backed into a wall by men he didn’t recognize. He knew they didn’t just take Rylands bag. The footprints along his coat, the mud in his hair, the bike helmet bashed inwards, and the way Ryland held his side when he laughed painted a solid enough picture.
