Updating this summary since it's been a while since this was started! Set around 2024 when Betsy was being a toerag blackmailing Joel Deering and Carla Connor, Lisa Swain was only just beginning to know Carla and Carla was still married to Peter. Becky in this is dead and will remain so but it was also started before we'd even see a pic so she's the wife Lisa was originally grieving, the supportive, caring, loving one who she and Betsy thought the world of (she's also blonde & Betsy's biological mother in this story). Long chapters!
When Betsy fails to turn up for work one morning, Carla is prepared to tear a strip off her and her mum for letting her down. But Lisa was unaware of her daughter's absence, sparking a hunt for the errant teen during which secrets become known. Where is Betsy? Why was she seen arguing with Joel Deering? And will Carla's confession lead to her enjoying a stint at His Majesty's pleasure?
