With the help of his friends, Mizu has executed the craven criminal lords Heiji Shindo and Abijah Fowler. By right of conquest, and as the shogun’s generous reward, Shindo’s holdings are now his, along with a noble title. And so is the most prized bride in all of Nippon, Akemi.
There’s just one problem. Maybe two. Lord Mizu of Sendai is not a man. (Well, most of the time.) And she's certain her new wife won't be happy about it. (She's wrong.)
