    Robotnik surreptitiously watched as his henchman prepared their lunch with his deft hands. Those long fingers were mesmerizing. Robotnik shook himself out of it, trying to ignore the warmth creeping into his cheeks.
    He had become increasingly aware of his preoccupation with Stone’s hands and was struggling with what it meant. During his recovery, one of the first things he became aware of was Stone’s hands. Bringing food to his mouth. Wiping his brow when he developed a fever. Stone’s hands were the first thing his skin felt after being removed from the body cast, the sensitive nerves all a-jangle but for Stone’s gentle treatment.
    Once he was well enough to take care of himself, Stone had resumed his professional distance and respected Robotnik’s personal space. It was only now Robotnik realized how much he missed those hands.
