Summary
It’s their fourth year in Gravity Falls after just turning 16 that Dipper finally cracks.
He’s always hated going home to Piedmont at the end of summer. People never understand him back in California; he’s always been the weird one, the kid that gets picked on and pushed around.
It doesn’t help that most of the kids in his grade have known him and Mabel since they were in elementary school—they’d known Dipper back when he and Mabel still told people that they were identical.
They’re still technically identical, but they don’t broadcast that fact anymore—not since Dipper came out.

Throughout the summer, Dipper has been injured both emotionally and physically. Despite his efforts to hide it all and act like he was completely fine, it was clear he wasn't. Stan kept his distance, not wanting to step over any boundaries. Surely Dipper would say something if he needed to. However, after seeing him passed out with blood covering his arms and Mabel refusing to tell him anything, Stan decided it was time to step in a little bit.

Summary
Rin has faint memories of home. A warm embrace, someone to protect, his kin. Those are faint memories he can no longer bring up. He knows where he is, hell with monsters trying to hurt him. His only bright light in this dark version of hell promises freedom. Freedom from this hell. Once he escapes, he'll have to find his home. His home isn't in the mountains of Kyoto, but that's where he ends up. This boy could help him, or maybe he's part of the monsters he ran away from.
Or: Rin was taken at a young age by the Vatican and experimented on for years until he escaped. He runs as far as he can, ending up in an inn in Kyoto and found by a boy. The boy takes him in and teaches him all he can, or he tries to. Is this really what his first year at True Cross will start?
*My first Blue Exorcist Fic! This will go according to the anime ending in season 1, by the way. So, if you have yet to see season 2 or read the manga, then no problem!

Rin was always a guy who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was always happy and didn't let anything get to him! Rin was strong emotionally and was loyal to those he cared about. Nothing affected him because he never showed it; he was brave and never felt fear!
That's what the others thought, anyway.
Or: What happens when Rin accidentally touches a demonic artifact, splitting him into five versions of himself? How will Yukio and the others deal with it? How will they deal with the new information they learn from these new versions of Rin?
