You're invited to attend Hogwarts after a tragic accident reveals your magical ability to the Ministry; they send Professor Fig to collect you while the Ministry cleans up the incident in the muggle world. You and your mother are still reeling from shock, but you agree to join Fig as you seek to control this power you soon find to be quite rare.
Despite starting school so late in years, you are eagerly welcomed by many of your classmates. After being sorted into Slytherin, you quickly become close with the two dear friends, Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt. And with their help (and perhaps hindrance), along with several others you meet on the way, you tackle the hardships of this new world.
A loose retelling of the plot. The Silver Trio is end-game, and most changes will center around Sebastian's quest and ones involving the Keepers - some of these are MAJOR changes. More characters and tags will be added as the chapters continue.

After Fig dies, life had went on for (Y/N), she had NEWTs to pick, social functions to attend, and a work life to comply with. After a unfortunate incident at the Gaunt Manor, and a feud growing between Garreth and Ominis, things picked up drastically. Whilst things with Sebastian weren't getting any better. The Ministry was angry at each of them. Our story begins in the summer, after house Gryffindor have won the house cup.

You braced yourself. You squeezed your hands together and closed your eyes. You knew it was going to hurt. It's just a moment of pain and it will pass, you told yourself.
"No!" You heard Ominis shout.
"Crucio!" Sebastian yelled at the same time.
You fell to the ground. Your body wracked with pain that you could never have prepared for. Everything, even your insides felt like they were set on fire and electrocuted at the same time.
