Summary
History and the pass of generations can lead to the most unexpected events. The world hasn’t always been as divided as it is during times of war and sometimes drop of foreign blood can reach a child decades after it was shared. Sometimes the son of the Fire Lord happens to be the great-grandchild of the last Avatar, and the element he bends is not the one that belongs to his nation. Sometimes a child of the frozen tundra discovers a painful secret in the flames that are born from her fingers, and she feels like a monster because of it. Sometimes the last hope for the world winds up finding himself with two particular children who are desperate to be worthy of love, to the point they would die for it. And seeing tem hurt makes him hurt.
