Summary
Julian knows he is bondless. He accepted that years ago, when the quiet life of his childhood shattered and he was thrown into Dublin's harsh underground to fend for himself. It's for the best, he's decided. His soul is far too stained to be a match to anybody else's. He's done too much, and been on the wrong side too often to pull anyone else down into it with him. Let alone Cameron. The man's innocent lightness is part of what always drew Julian to him. He couldn't bear to spoil that for him.
He contented himself to stay quiet, to watch and not hope for anything more. To protect him from a distance. But when old enemies resurface, will Julian be able to protect anyone at all?

Summary
Zagreus stops in front of him, head tilted up to look at him. There’s a cut on his face, and without thinking Thanatos reaches out, runs his thumb over it to soothe it shut so at the least he does not bleed.
Zagreus is still looking at him, quiet.
“Zagreus?”
“You came,” Zagreus finally says. He smiles; it makes all the flames that curl around his laurels spark. There is such a soft and tender pleasure in his words. “After all this time.”

Summary
Achilles stood up. He had been expecting the stranger since Megaera had stalked past him, elegant despite the anger and blood dripping from her.
An AU where Zagreus was raised by Demeter and ends up fighting his way through the Underworld regardless - just in the opposite direction. Guarding the entrance out is the terrifying monster Cerberus, but guarding the entrance in is Achilles, best of Greeks. And he has strict orders not to let anyone in.
