Summary
Why is Sebek so mean to everybody?
Because deep down, he’s protecting himself. Born half-fae and half-human, Sebek struggled to find a place in Briar Valley. To the fae, he was too human. To the humans, he was too fae. He was laughed at, bullied, and looked down upon—especially because his human blood made him weaker and shorter-lived than his fae peers.
The children called him names, and even the teachers turned away when he was bullied. Over time, Sebek built a wall of pride, harshness, and discipline—hoping that if he acted more fae than anyone else, no one would ever call him weak again.
This is the story of the boy who dreamed of guarding a prince… and the pain that shaped him into the Sebek we know today.
