Summary
So after Sam spectacularly failed to learn to let go, even after the six months long finale that put Gabriel through his own personal hell to watch, he reset things, put Sam back next to Dean, and then took off to hide until the end came because he may have resigned himself to losing his mate to Michael, but that didn't mean he wanted to be around to see it happen. So it's something of a shock for him when he comes back, expecting the Apocalypse to be pretty much over and just wanting to scrounge up what little bit of an existence he can in whatever was left, and discovers that not only has the Apocalypse not happened yet, but that the Cage didn't even get popped and Castiel and Sam are bonded and Michael knows and didn't flip his shit, what the everloving fuck?!
Gabriel's mate is at least still alive and willing to discuss the possibility of getting together, something made easier by the fact that Gabriel (unlike Castiel or Michael) has a cell phone he can use to talk to Dean so as not to risk a wingcident.

When Celestino asks if Phichit wants to detour to Thailand to abduct his sister, Phichit helps pull together the plan.
There was one unforeseeable wrinkle, but nothing Phichit can't roll with.

Dean & Sam have only had each other since their parents died, but Dean is chosen to serve as Gabriel's consort and Sam is left on his own. Determined to find a way to be near Dean again, he sets out to attract the notice of the only member of Gabriel's flock who doesn't have a mate: Castiel.

Yuri never planned on getting another cat, but apparently said cat disagrees.
His naming skills could still use some work, though, especially since this apparently gets the internet confused about which Otabek he has in his bed. Not that Yuri is opposed to the alternative interpretation.
