Summary
It doesn't look like NYC even from just an alleyway. He can practically smell the gloom floating in the air. Well– he can't smell gloom, but he can smell blood and piss, which isn't the usual smell from his city. Well, they are, but it's never this strong, and always accompanied by other comforting smells. But the worst is the sounds. Peter can hear the sound of gunshots and screaming.

'Peter Parker luck' ends up with Peter in an entirely different universe.

Gotham is a lot different from his New York.

He was in a strange place, there was nothing familiar to calm him... The memories of Dr. Stephen Strange hit him, the events he had lived through over the past 4 years (not counting the 5 years he was 'dead' due to the snap), the memories of Beck, of Ned, of Harry, of Gwen, of MJ, of Tony, of May... Everything hit him like a wrecking ball seeking to end the trembling disaster that was his new body... Summary
The Mutants are scattered. On the night of the annual Hellfire Gala, Krakoa is destroyed, and Professor Xavier goes missing. With Krakoa gone, there is no more sovereign Mutant nation, and there is no more resurrection. Worse, a new president has been elected in America on the back of anti-Mutant sentiment, and has installed Bolivar Trask as the head of the newly formed Department of Mutant Relations. Once again, the Mutants are forced to try to live in a world that hates and fears them. As their final act, the Quiet Council of Krakoa declares that any remaining Mutants must go to ground until a plan can be formulated for their people. Hide. Survive.
The X-Men determine that they will be high profile targets for Trask and DMR, and therefore must not only hide, but must go places that no one would ever think to look for them.
