Summary
In which the elves did not escape Morgoth's influence before the Great Journey, and half of their population were cursed to rely on blood to survive. This changes many things, and not all of them for the better.
Fingon is a feeder, the only one born to his family since his grandfather and is generally happy with his place in society and in his family. Unfortunately, all it takes is the horrible decision for his people to cross the Ice and suddenly, he's in for the worst time of his life. And he's not sure if he can ever recover from the horrors of it.

Summary
Due to a warning given by Ulmo, Turgon was forced to make a decision that he dreaded: To flee his beautiful, hidden city. However, as his family was greatly displeased at his actions of stealing away a third of their best people, he was forced to take drastic measures. He sends his Lords and his daughter to Doriath's borders, in hopes that they will grant the mercy of selling them one of their lands for their people to rebuild.

It had started as a simple, if not boring, negotiation council between the two kingdoms. Simply talk about open lands, settle on a price, then hopefully establish a trade that would make this easier for them both. However, there was a complication that could very well break their entire city.The simple scribe that sat in the Nan Elmoth council was simply too beautiful to look away from!

Summary
Princess Idril would find her missing aunt and bring her home if it was the last thing she did. With her most loyal knight and betrothed Tuor, they set upon the search after hearing the rumors of a Lady in White vanishing into the dark trees of a haunted forest ruled by a terrible and cruel Elf Lord.
They did not expect to stumble upon an elf of great beauty when they find her, nor find her cursed and unable to leave without a sacrifice. Assuming that this beast had kidnapped her, they selflessly offer to trade themselves in exchange for Aredhel's freedom. And so, they curse themselves to spend their days trapped in her place, until they can convince their jailor to break his enchantments.If only that were the true story.

Nerdanel wiped the sweat off her brow as she admired her finished statue. She was rapidly improving, surpassing even many who claimed to be masters in their art. Dully, the sound of hammering rang into her workspace. It was late and there was only one elf who was willing to work late into the night: Fëanáro, first-born son and heir of Finwë, High King of the Noldor. Few has she met who were as ambitious, as hungry for knowledge, as smart or as talented as Fëanáro.

She has accepted the fact that no one will ever be interested in her and focuses her time on improving her sculting skills. Summary
Turgon has had enough of Maeglin pining over Idril, and seeks to give him something better to do with his time. Having Maeglin marry one of the lords of the city will grant him a companion (after all, he seems so horribly lonely!), get his mind off of Idril, and let him take up more responsibility like he wants to. It's the perfect solution.
Glorfindel is delighted to be marrying the prince he's been hiding his affections for, but Maeglin finds this no kinder than a death sentence: he had thought that being in love with someone unattainable would make him off-limits for anyone to court.
But Glorfindel is determined to make Maeglin happy, even if Maeglin can't love him, and Maeglin isn't as immune to being treated kindly as he might think he is.
