Summary
Nearly a year after his defection, all Shadow wants to do is live a life of peaceful obscurity.
For a while, a new country, job, and identity allowed him to do just that. But after uncovering the long forgotten history of his new home in the countryside, Shadow comes face-to-face with remnants of a curse from centuries passed. And when his new home suddenly becomes unsafe, Shadow finds he has no choice but to cooperate with the fearsome beast that rules over a castle hidden away from the rest of the world.
While kept together by circumstance, the two soon find that in order to forge futures for themselves, they must first address the past.

Summary
Donnie has successfully flown the Technodrome through the portal. Leo has failed to connect with Raph, and Casey has pulled the key too early. Just before the portal closes forever, Leo portals Mikey out...and Mikey can't open rifts in space by himself. At least, not yet.
Mikey would do anything to become powerful enough to get his brothers back. But as he pushes the limits of his capabilities, he makes a startling discovery about his magic that will change his life forever.
Meanwhile, in the Prison Dimension, Leo encounters an obstacle he never would have anticipated hindering his way home: Himself.
