Summary

He’d taken every step necessary, had made peace with a death that wasn’t fulfilled, and he didn’t know what to do with that. Not now that he had to actually reckon with Ice’s absence.
The distraction of the mission had kept his mind off of the grief, far more focused on getting the Daggers back alive and successfully bombing out the uranium plant, but with no goal to orient his focus around any longer, it hit him. Full force.
He stepped through the front door of their house and he just…crumbled. "

Harry tried to smile at his guardians and Pomfrey but his facial muscles refused to obey. He was just so—tired. He wanted to sleep again, anything to get out of feeling that pain.
Pomfrey smiled sadly at the teen and wondered what he would do once he realizes why he was ill.
