Summary

The main story revolves around one of the nonhuman test subjects receiving a somewhat prophetic warning of oncoming genocide, which nudges them towards doing something about it, as well as triggering strange and stranger events.

Aside from its position as the largest world in the main asteroid belt (the de facto border region between the Eusan Empire and the Eusan Nation), Cassilda's subsurface water makes it an invaluable staging ground and refueling site for vessels of the Volksmarine, and its remote nature makes it a prime spot for Bioresonance research.
