**DISCONTINUED/INDEFINITE HIATUS**
Seokjin finds the boy on his way back from work.
He’s looks no older than sixteen, and he’s shivering violently, stumbling along the side of the road.
Normally, Seokjin would keep driving. He’s seen too much working in a small hospital near the slums. He’s seen it all, and as much as it breaks his heart, he can’t save everyone.
But what makes him pause is the young boy’s nudity, along with the unmistakable rivulets of red running down his back and the hand prints on his thighs and hips, visible even through the blurred windshield and the whipping rain and wind.
Seokjin’s heart clenches, and he ignores the dampened upholstery when he stops alongside the boy and rolls down the window.
“Hey, are you—” Seokjin stiffens and chokes on his words.
Even through the dampening effect of the storm, the cloying scent of caramel and chocolate clobbers him in the face.
The boy is in heat.
(Alt: Jungkook has no one until Seokjin finds him and brings him home. There, he finds six people to call home.)

“The other hyungs must have been over before, right? I’m probably the last,” Jungkook says, a little sadly and self-deprecatingly.
Namjoon’s mother laughs like she knows about a joke that Jungkook doesn’t.
“Oh, Jungkook, not at all. You’re the first.”

“Nooo,” Jimin moans, futilely tugging at his arm, which is clenched in Taehyung’s grip as the taller boy excitedly stumbles forward. They’re leaving the protective circle of light around the house, and Jimin begins to shiver, both from the cold and from fear.
Jimin squeezes his eyes shut and prays.
What if it’s a wild animal? What if it’s going to eat them—oh God, please—
“It’s a boy!” Taehyung shouts, shaking Jimin like a ragdoll and jolting him from his panic induced stupor. “He’s injured and, oh my God, are those wings?”
Jimin pries one eye open, ready to snap at Taehyung for his stupid jokes, when he catches sight of the boy.
His breath hitches.
Those are fucking wings.
(Jungkook is only seven when he crashlands from the heavens into the lives and hearts of six mismatched boys in the middle of a winter storm. Call it impulsive, perhaps, but he knows then and there that he's not letting go.)

“Maybe I should leave.” The words rush out of him, and room seems to collectively suck in a sharp breath.
“Jungkook-ah, no,” Seokjin says, panicked.
“I-if I’m such a b-burden, maybe you’d all be better off without me. ‘Golden maknae, my ass,’ right?” He smiles humorlessly at Taehyung, and the older boy stands frozen, remembering his own words, now thrown back at him.
“If I leave first, maybe it won’t hurt as much when you all decide to disband,” Jungkook whispers.
“Wait, Jungkook—"
He runs.
