Summary
Once Upon a Time a young prince fought a dragon and won. Armed only with a Sword of Truth, a Shield of Virtue and the blaze of True Love alight in his heart he broke through the Wall of Thorns to finally face the Mistress of All Evil, Queen of the Unseelie Court, the last remaining Dark Fae in the land, Maleficent and, with the aid of the Three Good Faeries, his sword struck true. Everybody had heard of how the noble prince then climbed to the highest tower and woke a sleeping maiden from a cursed sleep with the power of True Love's Kiss and nobody thought of the stillness that tightened the air as a dragon entered into a more permanent kind of slumber.
The celebration held throughout the lands of men lasted several days, and continued for over a week in the kingdom of Auroria; the vigil held in the Court of the Seelie lasted even longer. They had not expected her to stay dead. They should not have killed Maleficent. More pressingly, Hell itself should not have been able to keep her.

She sounded thrilled at the prospect, eager like a ravenous wolf salivating before a wounded lamb. Vagina just wanted to be sick. The reality of the rivers of blood they sent coursing through the nine rings, the glorious purpose to which she was made and bred for was no longer something she aspired to. She realised, now, that, like the thorny crown imposed upon The Son, she would inherit a halo dripping in crimson shame, dutiful sin.
Vagina assumed the stance. She inhaled deeply, shifting her weight to her back foot and pointing her spear directly at his heart. One lunge and she would end this sinner’s eternal life once and for all; one plunge and she would rob this child of the life that he clearly did not get much time to live the first time round. He trembled and cried and Vagina wondered what a child so young could possibly do to deserve damnation.

Summary
Darcy was always surprised by how unobservant the Crown Princess of Dyamond could be. She was cold, detached, aloof, exactly what Darcy expected from a high ranking member of a royal court, an attitude that Darcy knew was all that separated herself and Princess Icabelle from the other snotty rich brats that made up Ms Malicent’s School for Gifted Girls (Magix, MD). And yet Icabelle could be terribly absent-minded, unaware of the things and, more importantly, the people she passed by, Darcy reflected as she and her roommate headed towards the common room for Egerya Hall after classes had finished for the day.
She hadn’t once noticed the scrawny second year that had been tailing them for two weeks without Darcy drawing her attention to it first. Clearly she wasn’t looking to break that record.
It was lucky, thought Darcy, that Dyamond had been ravaged by the Shaman Witch and the Legion of Witch Hunters. A Royal Court would eat Icy alive.

Summary
Trouble always came after a fall.
Not for the heroes, never for the heroes who can only ever wallow and waver and weaken before forces less-than-virtuous. Heroes have moments of Doubt which excuses any actions they make that might not quite fit their knights in glittering miniskirts look, but – at the end of the day, when dawn breaks with the storm – they always overcome. Their fears, their uncertainties, the Doubt and with it, their foes.
No, the Winx were infallible and everybody knew that falling was an act reserved for only the truly Wicked: the one-dimensional cartoon villains who do nefarious deeds in pursuit of nefarious ends for reasons that only their uniquely nefarious minds could comprehend. The villains were not misguided students pushed towards peddling pro-witch propaganda, just as much as they could not be promising young women with a bright future ahead of them. They are Evil Witches and, like all Evil Witches, deserve no sympathy.
They are the Trix and they were made to fall.
