[/Hungry./]This was how Luz Rucio Noceda, Host of the Grey Light Virus, had woken up every day for the past 16 years.
"Wonder what the good Doctor Kroning has in store for us today." She sighed, daring to hope that the next batch of tests weren't of the more... Invasive variety.
At least if she cooperated, she might even be able to see her Mami on the other side of her glass window. Or, if the doctor was feeling generous, in her room in a hazmat suit.She could have never expected where she'd be merely hours later- on the corpse of an ancient god, in the company of a magic criminal, with the singular gunshot that changed her life still ringing in her ears.

Summary
A magical mishap after a terrible first date led to Sprig Plantar being transformed into a human, the same species as his best friend, Anne Boonchuy. While Wartwood's local witch, Maddie, is trying to research for a cure to turn him back to normal, Sprig has no choice but to learn how to be human, with Anne's help, leading to a wacky adventure which forces him to reassess what he can and cannot do, as well as dealing with strange, human-like feelings from within that'll make him question who he wishes to be.
Little did they know that his fate would be intertwined with an ancient prophecy involving three gems and a cursed box, when he gains the ability to communicate with the spirit of a long-departed soul with no memories besides her name.

The acid rain bit at her feet, which were turned in on each other, and added to the feeling of her hunched-over shoulders – that Amity looked small, and flustered, and vulnerable.
“I’m sorry,” Amity began, a tremor on her lips that Luz wanted to, but couldn’t, discount to the cold. “I didn’t know where else to go. Can I stay?”
