Crowley pulls out a single piece of stationary. It is actual stationary too rather than lined paper ripped out of a notebook or printer paper. It has weight to it and is a soft cream color that matches the envelope. Opening the folded paper, the writing looks old fashioned, like the writing in those BBC historical dramas. Who does Crowley know that writes actual letters on real stationary? The name on the bottom of the letter says Ezra Fell. Crowley is pretty sure he has never met an Ezra Fell.
So starts a friendship to lovers via letters between Crowley and Ezra

“Expect signs of PTSD,” the social worker warned him, “Extreme mood swings, risky behavior, aggression, and self-harm are all things to look out for. I would recommend counseling.”
Severus hasn’t seen any of that yet. Harry is extremely polite, neat, and personable. He likes gardening and football. He helps make grocery lists and cook dinner.
He knows there is more: clues that he’s missing and behaviors he’s overlooking, hints that Harry is struggling more that he’s letting on, but overall, Harry seems remarkably well-adjusted. It’s unnerving.
Because Severus knows that Harry spent a significant portion of his childhood confined to a single cupboard under the stairs. He knows that Harry was not fed consistently and did not have clean clothes that fit him. That he was hit.
By all accounts, Harry should be struggling. In the eight years since Severus first met Harry as an infant, his parents died, he was raised in an abusive household, and then forced to live with an estranged family friend he didn’t remember.
It worries Severus that he’s not seeing it, like Harry could be drowning right in front of him and he wouldn’t even know.

Summary
Tom Riddle has split his soul so many times that he can no longer produce any offspring the natural way. He doesn’t want a child, just like he doesn’t want to be married to Bellatrix. Theirs was a marriage of convenience. But, alas, the Ministry elections are coming up and raising a baby would appeal to the Lighter families wouldn't it?
So, Tom decides to go the magical route and implant a baby inside of his wife using their conjoined family magics in a ritual. He's the rightful Heir of Slytherin and Bellatrix is sure that she’s the Heir of House Black. There’s no doubt about it after Sirius was disowned and Regulus refused the heirship.
But something goes wrong. Bellatrix does not get pregnant. Because unbeknownst to everyone except Sirius who was really drunk at the time, she is not the true heir. Harry Potter is. He's also still very much a virgin. Oops?
