  Summary

  The great metropolis of Midgar is dulled by the rain, the huge mako reactors a blur of green underneath the torrent.

  The brakes scream as a freight pulls into the sector VIII reactor, the guards approaching illuminated by a crash of lightning.

  Three figures jump down from the still slowing train and take down the guards with well-practiced ease before dashing inside the sector VIII reactor building out of the rain.

  A fourth stomps heavily forward, stopping only to gesture over his shoulder.

  Barret: C'mon newcomer. Follow me.

  Our main protagonist efficiently drops down to the platform without any flourish, his weapon readied, a huge roll of thunder rumbling to an inconceivably loud crescendo as he lands.

  Squall: Whatever.
