That was the larger consensus of the PIDW online community upon reading not one but three (epilogue) chapters that received exactly zero rants from Peerless Cucumber. They assumed he’d simply taken their advice and stopped reading . But that wasn’t what happened. The fourth chapter of the epilogue was the best written work that Airplane had ever posted—twenty-five thousand words of plot and prose that didn’t end in a gratuitous sex scene—and at the end? A small note detailing the death of Airplane’s number one fan.

When Luo Haoyu blinked his eyes open, it was with the thought that at least he didn’t die because of fucking truck-kun. His next thought was that wherever he was, it did not look like a hospital. Which, ostensibly, was where someone who had just been hit by a fucking truck should be.
“Are you okay, Luo-shidi?” the girl asked again, taking a nervous step into what was probably a wood shed.
Shidi? As in… martial brother? Oh god. Oh shit. Did he actually get hit by fucking truck-kun and get isekai’d into some ungodly cultivation book?

Summary
One would think that after more than eight hundred years of rivalry between Mu Qing and Feng Xin, Ling Wen would naturally come to the understanding that it wasn’t a good idea to pair them up for a mission.
Plenty of the other Gods have. Unfortunately, Ling Wen didn’t seem to be in favour of them parting on missions.
What he'd done to Ling Wen in the past for her to seemingly enjoy seeing him tortured in Feng Xin’s presence, Mu Qing didn’t know.
Or how a supposedly quick and easy mission turns into Mu Qing meeting his future son-in-law and fixing his relationship with his husband-to-be.
