Janus was expecting a mouse or a squirrel to be the cause of the noise in his walls.

Summary
Grian hadn’t handled Mumbo’s death very well. It haunted his very being; it followed him everywhere he went. Whilst still mourning, the fates surely wanted to see him flounder. Surely the Watchers were laughing at him as Mumbo, his own partner, boyfriend, and spanner, betrayed him. He will get his revenge. Grian will deal with Mumbo- if with nothing but his own two hands.
