Summary
His voice is rough and loud and would be attractive to any girl but her. The song he chose speaks of a girl who’s shy and needs the writer to rescue her. Based on the slight slur on every second syllable Katara is certain he’s indulged in some alcohol for an additional boost of courage, and she wishes he hadn’t because maybe then he would’ve thought twice about serenading her, doing something she explicitly asked him not to, beneath her window in the middle of fucking winter.
She breaks up with him a week later, encouraged by Suki’s and Toph’s hysterical snorts of laughter at her retelling of the awful, horrible, no-good experience. When he, frustrated and embarrassed, asks her why, she tells him she just got bored of him.
It’s as close to the truth as Katara, kind and giving to her very bones, is willing to tell him. And if it makes Zuko quirk his eyebrow at her, well, all the better.
She bets Zuko wouldn’t do it to her.Or,
3 times Katara got serenaded, and 1 time she didn’t.Bookmarked by Shadowmist818

Summary
Katara is twenty-one when Aang lets her go.
Or:
When Aang wakes, he is twelve, and the girl who rescues him from the ice is beautiful, and perfect, and twenty. She also has a toddler and a baby on the way, but Aang was raised by monks and has a limited frame of reference for such things.

Summary
"She takes his hand, turns it palm up and drops the ankh charm there. ‘When a symbol calls to you, you should never ignore it. There are forces in this world stronger than thoughts; you would be wise to let them guide you from time to time.’
That makes him furrow his brow. ‘Forces? You mean like magic?’
‘Maybe.’
‘I don’t believe in magic.’
‘I know.’ She winks at him and turns back to the oven, fishing a tea towel from her apron pocket. With the ease of one who has done so a thousand times before, she slides a tray of golden brown sourdough free and sets it on the cooling shelf.
No, he doesn’t believe in magic, but there is something about her… And that, he believes in."

Running his uncle's bakery is stranger than Zuko could have expected, especially when the woman he hires to share the workload speaks in a long dead language, conflates science and magic, and knows more about him than she has any right to.

Summary
Prince Zuko is sent on an (unwilling) world tour. His first stop is the Southern Water Tribe, where he plans to play diplomat for a few weeks, see a little bit of the charming (if cold) village where the Avatar was currently learning to waterbend, and learn how to hunt penguin seals. He doesn’t quite expect the chief’s daughter to catch him first. Explicit Smut, Mentions of Trauma, Mental Illness, and All the Feels. You’re welcome. For Zutara Mini Bang 2021.

.
He can’t think about the disaster that led him here, not when he’s thanking every spirit in existence that fate had led him right into Katara’s bed. He thinks of the Fire Lord—his busy-body, interfering, utterly beloved Uncle—who’d thoughtfully suggested one afternoon that the future Fire Lord—Zuko, of course—should really see the world before becoming the leader of the most powerful nation on it. Then Katara is peeling off his trousers and the Fire Nation is the last thing on his mind.- Language:
