Summary
As much of a thorn in his side he's been so far, there's no denying that Leon S. Kennedy is the most interesting specimen he's had the pleasure of studying.
It'd be a shame to let such potential go to waste...

Summary
He knows he should be contacting the Colonel for help. But between his growing anxiety, the constant churning and gurgling and sloshing and that persistent wooshing noise, the realization that he has absolutely no idea where he is or what’s happened to him has his heart starting to pound behind his ribs. Yet even then the deep, thrumming roar of blood in his ears remains relaxed and steady in spite of his growing panic.
It takes Raiden a moment to realize that’s not his heartbeat he’s hearing.

Summary
"She'd been hoping, that maybe, just maybe Leon would be back long enough for them to do… something together. Something more than just grabbing lunch or dinner, the dark shadows under Leon's eyes still fresh. A month long road-trip to California, stopping at all the cheesy tourist stops — the worlds biggest ball of yarn, a shady dinosaur museum — Leon making bad jokes at each of them, that would nevertheless have her doubled over with laughter. It was a pipe dream, of course. Even if Leon miraculously got enough leave it make it possible, her father would lock her up in the White House before ever letting her go. But even just a day at the beach. They could rent surfboards and swim in water that was way too cold. And she wouldn't have to worry if he was alive or not. Wouldn't have to worry if he still cared…"
or
Ashley manages to pull some strings to get Leon enough leave for the two of them to go on a road-trip together for her summer break. But of course nothing can be that easy, as their own demons and outside forces threaten to bring what was supposed to be a much needed break for the both of them to an abrupt end.

Summary
“Society cares for the individual only so far as he is profitable.” — Simone de Beauvoir
“I’m sorry, kid,” Snake spoke bluntly, but his voice wasn’t nearly as gruff as it typically was. He cleared his throat, never good at giving sympathy to others. At least, that was what Raiden assumed from what little he could gather. “I’d do something if I could. But we’ll find a way, I promise you that much.”
Not lifting his head, Raiden let the impulsive words sit on his tongue. I need you to hold me. I need you to tell me everything will be okay. I need…
Arsenal Gear doesn’t launch as anticipated. Trapped and left with nowhere else to go, Raiden and Snake are unwillingly thrust into the Patriots’ demented S3 plan: organically producing child soldiers using the Legend and the Successor.
Raiden refuses to go through with yet another plan meant to control him; use him. He isn’t the weak Omega they think he is.
But the longer he and Snake remain trapped on the Big Shell, the more apparent it becomes: their instincts won’t let them come out of this unscathed. And they won’t let them leave without doing as the Patriots planned.

Summary
Grace snapped herself out of her detrimental train of thought, fingers digging into the flesh of her thighs. Swallowing past the tightness in her throat, she focused her eyes back onto Hunnigan. Before she could spiral again, Grace pushed for clarification, "I-if he's fine, then…?"
Hunnigan studied her for a few seconds, giving her time to recompose herself—almost long enough to make Grace start fidgeting—before she answered, "He's been compromised by his own instincts."
Grace blinked, taking a moment to process the sentence. Once she did, her eyes widened in disbelief. "He's—he's gone feral?"
— or —
Grace couldn't deny that a tiny bond of some kind had formed between her and Leon during the events of Rhodes Hill and ARK, but is she really the best choice to help when Leon falls victim to his instincts?
