Long ago, there were 5 Soul Jams bestowed upon Cookiekind by the Witches. Then, when those Soul Jams began to corrupt and their Virtues fell, the 5 were split into 10, and their essence was scattered across Earthbread in the form of Light.

...Unfortunately, the Light of a Soul Jam hardly remains inert. And when Life Powder and that Light combine, they create a new kind of being: neither Ancient Soul Jam nor Beast, but something new (weakened, yes, hut new): A False Soul Jam, or as they're more commonly known, Parasites.
Unbound by duty or any particular trait, these creatures are erratic, powerful, and most see Cookiekind as prey bodies to use, hunt, and consume. But, if you managed to... perhaps you could make a powerful symbiote out of a Parasite, or maybe even a friend.
