Summary
“Ladies and gentlemen," a voice on the TV says. "Welcome to Beyoncé Homecoming 2018."
Frank had to admit that he was not all that familiar with Beyoncé's music. Of course, he knew Single Ladies and the songs that had made it to radio, but not enough that could fill a whole festival's worth of music.
"Are you ready to be amazed?" Mel asks.
Frank still has no idea what to expect. All he can do is nod, confusion still plain on his face. He sits down in the middle of the couch so he has a front row seat to whatever it is Mel is about to do.
Or, Mel King gets drunk and performs the entirety of Beyoncé’s 2018 Homecoming Coachella show in Langdon’s living room.

Summary
What Mel wants, if she’s honest, is very simple: to not be on the floor, to be close to Dr. Langdon again, and to be as far from a lawsuit as possible. Preferably in some distant future where all of these problems are ancient history, and she no longer has an aching feeling when she remembers them.
Or; Mel hits her head and wakes up in the future, a little too close to her wish.

Summary
“Alright,” Frank said, not yelling. Just loud enough to cut through their screams of protest, “who wants to watch Dr. Mel?”
The fits stopped as soon as the familiar name left Frank’s mouth. Tanner and Penny looked up at him with smiles on their faces as they hopped off the floor, their voices overlapping with Me’s and I do’s.
“Wow, that was way too easy,” he sighed, “what’s so special about this ‘Dr. Mel’? You have a doctor standing right in front of you, ya know.”

Fate brings them together in the children's section of a library in Pittsburgh. -

Summary
“Walk me through what you’re thinking.”
Dr. Langdon’s voice came from behind her. Before she had the chance to turn, he stepped closer, leaning over her shoulder to look down at the screen.
It happened so fast. The warmth of him at her back. The clean scent of soap mixed with coffee and something else she couldn’t place. His hand reached around her to point at something on the screen and for half a second, his arm brushing against hers and she became acutely aware of the little space remaining between their bodies.
Her pulse stuttered. Any explanation she had died in her throat, instead only a quiet, choked noise came out. She was effectively frozen, completely against her control.
What the hell?

5 + 1 trope for Kingdon Week: 5 times Mel felt Langdon from behind & dealt with the emotional fallout, +1 when she let herself go and enjoyed him.
