Derek felt his cheeks heating up and he looked to the hallway, longing to flee the awkward situation he had put himself in. He should’ve just left it on the goddamn doorstep.
“Do you wanna gome in?”
Derek was ready to reject the idea, to just say ‘thanks but I’ve got to get going’ or ‘I don’t want to impose’, but then he looked at Stiles’ hopeful—though congested—face and he found himself saying,
“Sure.”

"Top Five Things about baseball," Stiles clears his throat, and prepares to count on his fingers. "One, the uniforms, because damn, okay. Two, like, seriously those uniforms." Derek laughs. And, well... agrees. "Three, how awesome the game actually is. Four, Kevin Kiermaier. Don't even need to reason that one. And five, did I mention the uniforms?"
Derek keeps his smile at bay. "Kiermaier is playing for the opposing team, Stiles."
"Okay, yes, BUT... butt." Stiles winks. Derek rolls his eyes.

“Hi,” Tommy says, smiling at him. Smiling like nothing’s wrong, like Buck hadn't dropped a grenade on their chances of getting back together, like the entire previous day hadn't happened. Smiling in the same clothes he'd been wearing.
“I-I thought you had a shift,” Buck says, and Tommy looks at him funny.
“Not until tomorrow,” he says. “Didn't want to leave without feeding you.”
And Tommy gently taps his stomach with the back of his hand before turning away, and Buck’s entire world shifts on its axis when he gets hit with an intense wave of déjà vu. It's so bad that he worries, once again, that he's having a neurological episode. It intensifies when he sees the spread of food—the same spread of food.

“Guess you could say that.” He scratches the back of his neck before holding out his hand. “I'm Evan.”
