The House of the Hearth.
Every year in the games two children from the House of the Hearth would be selected to replace two children who had been reaped from their district.
Peruere was one such child in the house, as was Clervie- Clervie who happened to be the biological daughter of ‘mother’, Crucabena- the head gamesmaker of the Hunger Games.

He wasn't sure why he had walked onto the only bridge in town with four different markers in his back pocket, but Steve had. He felt the urge to write the words out- who gave a fuck if people saw him writting or saw the message after the fact?
It was mid afternoon but no one was around, there were no voices around to cloud Steve’s mind; only the buzzing highway below him and the rustling of the trees in the wind.
Heart in his throat Steve uncapped the first marker, it was a cream color, and began to write.

It’d been two months since he’d returned from the Underworld.

Maybe it shouldn’t have surprised Steve when he found out what he was. But it did nonetheless.
There had always been- odd things that happened in his childhood.

Jonathan had always suspected that Steve COULD be one of them, there was just something about him. Ever since finding out what he was Jonathan had been able to sense that there was another person like him at school, he just couldn't pinpoint who exactly it was. He didn’t have any evidence but the thought had been in the back of his mind for years now.Well, that was until Will went missing.
