Based on a prompt from the Chaos Machine himself, this has been sitting in my files forever, picking at it now and again. It was supposed to be a one-shot, but I eked out 8.5 chapters. I think this is my wish for how the American Administration should be, but alas..........

Summary

But, in 2009, his plans are interrupted, and he returns to Mystic Falls when a familiar face draws him out of hiding. Castiel Shurley has the same face of the vampire that turned him into a vampire over a hundred years ago and he feels drawn to the other man by some force that he can’t explain.
