Wednesday’s hand stills; even the regular sound of her breathing disappears. “…Excuse me?”
“Um…I’d like for you to test it? My hypothesis?” Enid’s voice climbs higher and higher. “In a totally non-personal, scientific method kind of way?”
This time, Wednesday pushes the desk back to the wall before turning to face Enid entirely. “Did you just propose that we have sex?”
“For science!” Enid bleats. “To test my theory about my sluttiness! This is a personal growth experiment, Wednesday. As my best friend, I thought you might be interested in sharing that.”
