It’s not like Kara deliberately sets out to make her life harder than it should be. It’s not her fault that she’s excitable, okay, and she forgets things sometimes and maybe those things should not be forgotten under any circumstances. Maybe those things include, well, housing forms, which as it turns out are super important to submit on time if she wants to not be homeless on her sophomore year of college.
Her sister’s going to give her so much crap about this.
Alternatively: in which Kara forgot to fill out the housing form and was left with no choice but to live in the most exclusive apartment on campus.

Summary
Kara was a track star in college and upon graduating has trouble finding a job in journalism, so her sister Alex offers for her to move to the city and share her apartment. She quickly finds a job at a local running store for the time being where a non-athletic Lena stops in for help with staying active, because apparently her doctor thinks 80 hour work weeks at a desk are unhealthy. Also, Kara is very clumsy.

Summary
“Hi, Sam,” Kara greeted brightly with a large smile. In the short time she’d known Sam Arias, she’d genuinely gotten to like her. She was fun, witty, very laidback and, aside from being friends with Andrea, seemed to have a really good ability to read people. She turned her eyes to Lena. “Hi. I just wanted to introduce myself; I’m Kara Danvers.”
She extended her free hand out for Lena to shake, as if that was a normal thing for high school girls to do. Lena’s eyes flitted down to the hand then back up to Kara’s face and she bit back a smirk.
“Oh, I know exactly who you are, Miss Danvers,” she replied.
Kara wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing.
Or: Kara's a high school basketball star who transfers to National City Prep for her junior year. Along the way, she makes friends and enemies, and (of course) meets Lena Luthor.
