“Were you counting? I didn’t realize I left such an impression,” Pac mused, surprised that he could muster up any confidence at all. Knowing his weak resolve when it came to those lovely brown eyes, it wouldn’t last long.
“Maybe, maybe,” Fit said. “You’re a hard guy to forget.”

Pac looked up at the man. He knew what was coming. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t dreading it.
He didn’t want to be alone again.
But he wasn’t going to be alone. He knew what he had said to Fit the day before. Indirectly saying that Fit meant nothing to him compared to Mike and Richas being gone.
He didn't mean it that way.
