When Kaneki Ken emerged from the worst ten days of his life stronger than he ever was, he expected to use that strength to protect those he cared about far better than he ever could before. However, he’s denied that chance as he exits Yamori’s torture chamber, where rather than being dumped out into the rest of the facility being used as Aogiri Tree's hideout he instead gazes upon a cold, snowy mountaintop in a world similar yet different to his own, one that held flesh-eating monsters, horrified teens, and a curse that lingered over all of them.
